Samantha Jean Orender was born in Burbank, CA in 1996, and currently resides in Topeka, KS. She attended the University of Kansas where she received a BFA in Design with a concentration in Photo Media. She is a photographer who is currently experimenting with film and Polaroid photography; however, she focuses mostly on digital photography and visual storytelling to aid in her social activism on topics such as feminism and social stigmas on mental illness. She also has been doing headshots for KU actors for three years. Her freshman year at KU she was featured in the No Filter gallery in the Chalmers Gallery.
